Market Commentary:
Ø Indian benchmarks extended their longest weekly run for fifth straight session on renewed buying interest. The undertone is upbeat due to relentless inflow of overseas capital into Indian financial assets over the past one month or so. A fall in US unemployment rate also led to bullish sentiments across global markets. The US markets staged a sharp rally on Friday while, most of the Asian equity indices were trading in the green at this point of time.
Ø Back home, sustained buying in mostly all the key heavyweights along with broader indices supported to trade comfortably over their crucial level. On the sectoral front, realty witnessed the maximum gain in trade followed by metal and banking. The gains are broad based with the Small-Cap and Mid-Cap indices actually out-performing their Large-Cap peers. The market breadth is very positive. The INDIA VIX on the NSE is marginally higher.
Ø In stocks moving on news flow, FMCG major HUL traded with 1% gains ahead of reporting Q3 numbers today. Piramal Healthcare (3%) traded with big gains. The stock surged nearly 8% before seeing some correction. The company will acquire a further 5.5% stake in Vodafone India for Rs 3,007 crore, taking its stake to 11%. The market breadth remains to be positive
Ø Hopes are also building on material improvement in governance and policy making. The Uttar Pradesh elections and the Union Budget will be two big events on the domestic calendar in the near term. Corporate earnings will continue to roll in for few more days.
Ø According to Our systems i closed 3 Trades today morning from TRADING PORTFOLIO” which are SBIN, ACEM, NIFTY after making a handsome returns of 14.48%,11.25% and 11.01% respectively.
Ø From Intraday perspective NIFTY might face resistance at 5400 levels while 5320-5350 remains to be support levels.
